Johnson Controls, IBM Integrate ‘Green’ Software
July 11, 2008 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Johnson Controls (johnsoncontrols.com) announced on Friday it plans to integrate IBM Tivoli Monitoring for Energy Management software (ibm.com/software/tivoli/products/monitor-green-energy) to enable data centers to be more energy efficient and sustainable.
The offering combines the advanced energy monitoring and control capabilities of Johnson Controls Metasys building management system with data center energy management capabilities provided by IBM Tivoli Monitoring for Energy Management software.
Both systems provide real-time monitoring and control to individual aspects of the infrastructure - Metasys building management system for building and system infrastructure, while IBM Tivoli Monitoring for Energy Management software for a facility’s IT infrastructure.
